Montana Archery Antelope Pronghorn Hunting
Montana offers some fantastic archery antelope hunting and our area in the Missouri river breaks is one of the best. Our archery antelope hunts are conducted in Montana's Antelope hunting district 620 and archery tags are a sure draw. We often have antelope right in the yard during the archery season. It is not uncommon to see several hundred antelope a day while in the field.
Your archery antelope hunt will consist of spot and stalk, blind, and decoy hunting with experienced archery antelope hunting guides. Waterhole (blind) hunts work well during low water years but during years with lots of summer rain there are to many watering holes to predict what one will be used on a given day. Bow hunting with a decoy is extremely effective during the rut, action is fast and furious when a buck comes in. Spot and stalk method is one of our personal favorite methods, it gives us a chance to move around a bit and it is very rewarding to get within bow range of a buck antelope. We recommend good modern archery equipment, 60 yard shots are common. As with other big game the faster and quieter your bow is the better your chance of success. Remember battery powered sights are not legal in Montana.
